Hawarden

Re-capturing the imagination of the family, Hawarden is a playful take on the contemporary rear extension to a family home.

Building upon our interest in alternative cladding materials & ceramic tiles at our Altrincham Fan Zone. Our latest house extension project in Altrincham uses two tones of ceramic tiles to separate functions internally.

Take a look at our video below for a close up of the facade.
Unlocking the existing property for a fast growing family and reconnecting it back to the garden were two critical drivers, which were identified on our initial site visit.

A feature bay window seat creates a tranquil place to sit and read, overlooking the garden. Whilst a protruding canopy provides much needed shelter and solar shading to the kitchen.

The project also includes the re-configuration of the existing entrance to create a welcoming entrance to the house and tiling the front and rear of the house together.
Proposed re-configuration of the main entrance to the property.

"Using ceramic tiles on the facade, we are able to capture the sunlight in different ways to create a dynamic yet low maintenance facade."
